Tim Chang

Tim is a founding member of the Telecom Council because the need for a more connected and collaborative industry was evident in his daily work. For years, Tim was a Principal at Norwest Venture Partners, and today is Managing Director at Mayfield Fund where he focuses his investment activity on wireless and digital media.

Derek Kerton

Derek Kerton is the head of the Kerton Group's Strategy Consulting Practice and an internationally recognized telecom industry expert who consults for companies throughout the telecom value chain (NTT DoCoMo, SKTelecom, Disney, Sony, Broadcom...); sits on the boards of Aegis Mobility, KeyZap, and The Telecom Council; publishes research and analysis across the industry; advises the financial community on telecom issues (Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley); is frequently interviewed on CNN, CNBC, and Wall Street Journal among others.

Nayeem Islam

Nayeem has 15 years of experience managing R/D groups to create innovation and advanced products in: mobile phone software, mobile phone applications, enterprise applications, security, and partnership management. His executive management skills have been proven useful to Qualcomm, NTT DOCOMO, Amazon.com, and IBM.

Jean-Marc Frangos

Jean-Marc Frangos is the Senior Vice-President of Technology and Innovation for the BT Group. He is responsible for providing service innovation input into BT Lines of Business. Jean-Marc also manages the BT venture funds and works with U.S. West Coast VC partners to ensure that technology investments are strategically relevant to BT. He is an active Innovation Evangelist within BT, and is responsible for identifying disruptive technologies and influencing portfolio and supplier relationship plans.

Daniel Kellmereit

Daniel Kellmereit has experience in a variety of functional areas including strategy, technology, innovation, marketing and corporate development. In his current position as CEO of Detecon Inc. he is responsible for the North and South America region.

Ursula Oesterle

Since 2003, Ursula has been managing Swisscom???s open innovation and scouting activities out of Silicon Valley. She was based in Singapore from 2007- 2009 to build up the Asia Pacific network. Prior to Swisscom she worked in a start-up in semiconductor lasers in Switzerland and was Program Manager of a Swiss National Science Program spinning technology out from academia. She holds a PhD in physics from EPFL and has a business degree from IMD in Lausanne.

Vivek Chhabra

Head of the Mobile Cellular Business Unit at Marvell, Vivek brings ample experience to the table including IBM Research, Center for Development of telematics, Mitel Networks, Atsana, Texas Instruments.

Dean Sirovica

Dean Sirovica is VP of Business Development for Huawei Technologies USA.
Dean was founding President and Chairman of the Mobile Wireless Internet Forum. MWIF had 100 member companies working to converge mobile, fixed and internet networks. MWIF merged with OMA. Prior to Vodafone, Dean was one of four cofounders of Malibu Networks responsible for product strategy and business development. Prior to Malibu Dean was Director with Sprint PCS where he deployed Sprint???s CDMA network in Southern California & Nevada. Prior to Sprint Dean was a Director at USWEST Technologies where he was responsible for wireless strategy and its integration with fixed access.

Thomas Neubert

Thomas is a valuable asset to the Telecom Council board. He is a senior business executive with a solid track record in growing domestic and international companies in tough economic environments with limited financial resources. His has a proven competency in building companies in cross-cultural environments by developing and executing innovative market entry strategies to generate significant results and visibility.

Allen Proithis

Mr. Proithis joined InterDigital in March of 2012, with responsibility for establishing and developing strategic business relationships and identifying potential new business opportunities. Prior to joining InterDigital, Mr. Proithis was Senior Director, Strategy & Business Development in the Consumer Devices division at TE Connectivity Ltd., a global designer and manufacturer of products that connect and protect the flow of power and data inside products. Before TE Connectivity, Mr. Proithis spent almost seven years at Hewlett-Packard, most recently as Head of Strategy & Business Development for the Handheld business unit.

Greg Le Beau

Greg Le Beau serves as manager of industry marketing for Qualcomm Incorporated. In this role, he is responsible for developing partnerships, marketing strategies, messaging and tactics across a number of industry associations. With more than 15 years of experience at Qualcomm, Le Beau has held a variety of management roles in the areas of strategic marketing, product marketing, product management, market intelligence and analyst relations.

Sumit Mittal

With more than 12 years of experience in the wireless industry, Sumit brings a broad range of skill set and knowledge base. He was actively involved with the launch of Telecom Council of Silicon Valley and worked with the founders. Sumit has extensive experience dealing with wireless eco-system across the globe. Sumit is an entrepreneur at heart and he is always out there exploring what is the next big thing in the market.
